THE LOOKOUT depicts an alpha female gray wolf. This life size work was enlarged from a 1/4 life size study created on site with the wolf at Wolf Park Animal Behavior And Ecology Research Center in Battle Ground, Indiana. Great caution must be employed when interacting with this species which is never fully tame. Originally, this pack living animal was the largest wild canid, largely inhabiting the Northern Hemisphere north of 15 degrees north latitude but, as a result of persecution and habitat decline, numbers have declined and the wolf occurs primarily in wilderness and remote areas.
